By dealing with photographic composition through the physical construction and photographic representation of a perceptual space.

For considering the relationship between a photographic image, which is flat, cropped, and captured through the precise control of framing, lighting, depth of field, etc. And a physical space which has literal spatial depth, changes in plane, layering of surfaces, etc. that produce perceptual qualities of flatness, depth, orthogonality or perspective.

To design the photographic composition through the digital construction of objects and their relation to light via the photogram. Photograms operate in the occluded space between an object and a projection surface in relation to light. Objects are reduced to their projected silhouettes and the diffusion intensity of light and shadow. As such, figure-ground relations are collapsed, thus opening up possibilities for the reconfiguring of spatial construction and representation.

Relayering light and shadow in photoshop make a different control in a flat render. Creating different reading from depth of field by black and white. And spearting plans makes a mysterious spatial experience.
